I declined to go to a friend’s birthday dinner because the booths at the restaurant are too small/I’m too fat and they don’t have tables. I really hate how this eating disorder has ruined my life. Recovery/self-love is such a hard process, and I slip now and then, but I have to continue to have hope that one day I’ll be (mostly) free of my ED. It’s hard on my husband, too. He wants to go out places with me, but I always say no because of my weight. I’m amazed that he still wants to be with me…

I’m sorry that you’re struggling. This world isn’t designed with fat people in mind, which is silly considering how many of us there are. Self acceptance and love is a hard journey. But, you’re worth it.
